Pinball Hall of Fame: A Trip Down Memory Lane

By Victor | Published: March 16th, 2008

Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection for the Nintendo Wii brought back childhood memories of my dad playing pinball in an arcade. I was too short to see the pinball table, so my mum had to carry me. My dad, he was pretty good in pinball. He would show me his skill in bumping the pinball table without tilting it and what to shoot to get the extra ball. As a kid, I was totally in awe of his pinball prowess.

With Pinball of Hall of Fame, I get to play the same pinball tables that my dad used to play. The Williams Collection is a collection of ten pinball tables from the past three decades. You get to play classic pinball tables like Taxi, Black Knight, Firepower, Funhouse, Gorgar, Pin*Bot, Space Shuttle, Whirlwind, Jive Time and Sorcerer. The action of flicking the nunchuk’s analog stick to shoot the ball and pressing the B and Z button for flipper control gives the game an authentic pinball feel. You shake the Wii remote or nunchuk to bump the pinball table. Don’t shake too hard or you’ll tilt the table. All in all, Pinball Hall of Fame is an excellent pinball simulation for the Nintendo Wii and great trip down memory lane.

Here is a photo of an actual Taxi Pinball Machine.

Bass Fishing on the Wii

Bass Fishing

Last weekend, I went fishing.

Largemouth Bass

No, I didn’t get any big ones.

Sega Bass Fishing (Nintendo Wii)

I went Bass Fishing on the Nintendo Wii.

Before trying out Sega Bass Fishing, I have played Rapala Tournament Fishing (hopeless game) and Fishing Master (nice cute game). In terms of gameplay, I find Sega Bass Fishing the better fishing game; with Fishing Master coming in second. The graphics of the various fishing locations in Sega Bass Fishing looks great, and the fish animation, especially when the fish leaps out of the water after being hooked is way better than the other Wii fishing games I have played. If you’re looking for a fishing simulation for your Nintendo Wii, I would not hesitate to recommend Sega Bass Fishing.
